Overview
The TQC sheen VF2141 Fineness Gauge is a precision instrument used to determine the particle size and fineness of paints, varnishes, pigments, fillers, chocolates and other materials. The Fineness Gauge has a single groove, a range of 0 to 5000 μm, an accuracy of 2 μm, and the scraper and scraper are made of hardened stainless steel.
Features
1. Made of hardened stainless steel to ensure durability and accuracy
2. Single groove design, the range covers 0~ 5000μm
3. High Accuracy up to 2μm to meet the needs of fine measurement
4. Equipped with calibrated certificate to ensure measurement Reliability
5. The size of the scraper and scraper is 175x60x12mm and 75x38x8mm respectively, which is easy to operate
Principle
By placing the sample on the groove of the Fineness Gauge and scraping evenly through the groove with a bevel scraper, the particle size and Fineness of the sample are determined according to the distribution of the sample on the groove scale. The groove length is 120mm and the groove width is 12mm to ensure the uniform distribution of the sample and accurate measurement.
Applications
Paints, varnishes, pigments, fillers, chocolate
Standards
ASTM D 1210、ASTM D 1316、JIS K 5600-2-5、ISO 1524、DIN EN 21524、BS 3900-C6
Steps
1. Prepare samples to be tested, such as paints or pigments
2. Place the sample evenly on the Fineness Gauge
3. Use the matching scraper to scrape along the length of the groove at a uniform speed
4. Observe the distribution of the sample on the groove scale and read the Fineness value
5. Clean Fineness Gauge and Scraper for Next Use
Notice
• Make sure Fineness Gauge and scraper are clean and drying before use
• Maintain uniform speed when scraping to avoid uneven sample distribution
• Clean the instrument in time after measurement to prevent residues from affecting the accuracy
• Regularly check calibrated certificates to ensure measurement accuracy
• Avoid collision between the scraper and hard objects to avoid damage to the surface
