Overview
The TQC sheen VF2142 Fineness Gauge is a precision instrument used to determine the particle size and fineness of paints, varnishes, pigments, fillers, chocolates and other materials. The Fineness Gauge has a single groove, a range of 0 to 5000 μm, an accuracy of 2 μm, and is made of hardened stainless steel.
Features
1. Made of hardened stainless steel for durability and accuracy
2. Single wide-channel design, groove length 120mm, groove width 37mm
3. Range 0~ 5000μm, accuracy up to 2μm
4. Provide calibrated certificate to ensure measurement accuracy
5. Scraper size 175x60x12mm, scraper size 75x38x8mm
Principle
Fineness Gauge determines the particle size and Fineness of the sample material by scraping it on the groove according to the distribution of the material in the groove. The hardened stainless steel scraper scrapes the sample evenly on the groove, and reads the Fineness value by observing the distribution of the sample on the scale.
Standards
ASTM D 1210、ASTM D 1316、JIS K 5600-2-5、ISO 1524、DIN EN 21524、BS 3900-C6
Steps
1. Prepare the sample material to be tested
2. Place the sample at the beginning of the Fineness Gauge groove
3. Use the matching scraper to scrape the sample evenly along the groove
4. Observe the distribution of the sample in the groove
5. Fineness value according to scale
6. Clean the instrument for next use
Notice
• Keep the instrument clean before and after use
• Avoid scratches between the scraper and the groove surface
Store in a humid and corrosive environment
• Regularly check the calibrated state to ensure measurement accuracy
• Uniform force is required during operation to ensure accurate measurement results
