Overview
The TQC FM15/2 DIN-ISO Grindometer is a precision instrument used to determine the particle size and Fineness of many materials (e.g. paints, varnishes, pigments, fillers, chocolates, etc.). The Fineness Gauge model is VF2143 and features a single-channe design with a range of 0 to 1000 μm and an accuracy of 2 μm.

Principle
By placing the sample material in the groove of the Fineness Gauge and scraping the sample surface evenly with a bevel scraper, the particle size and Fineness of the material are determined according to the distribution of the sample in the groove.

Steps
1. Prepare the sample material to be tested
2. Place the sample in the Fineness Gauge
3. Use the matching scraper to scrape evenly across the surface of the sample
4. Observe the distribution of the sample in the groove
5. Read and record Fineness measurement results

• Check whether the instrument is in good condition before use
• Keep the scraper parallel to the Fineness Gauge when operating
• Clean the instrument in time after measurement
• Avoid scratches on the surface of the scraper and Fineness Gauge
• Regularly calibrated to ensure Measurement accuracy
