Overview
The TR-1800H rapid total nitrogen detector is based on the research and development design of the US EPA-certified chromogenic acid method. It converts various forms of nitrogen into nitrate through alkaline persulfate digestion, and then reacts with chromogenic acid to form yellow complexes. Absorbance is used to determine the total nitrogen content in water samples. The instrument adopts digestion Colorimetric integrated tube detection, which has the characteristics of small and portable, fast detection, simple operation and low cost. Principle
The instrument is based on the principle of chromogenic acid method, and converts all forms of nitrogen into nitrate through the persulfate digestion process of alkaline. After digestion, sodium metasulfite is added to remove halogen oxidation substances, and then nitrate and chromogenic acid react in a strong acidic environment to form a yellow complex. Absorbance of the complex is measured to determine the total nitrogen content in the water sample.
