Principle
Based on the GB7493-87 standard, in phosphoric acid medium, when the pH value is 1.8 +/- 0.3, nitrite reacts with p-aminobenzenesulfonamide to form diazonium salt, and then with N- (1-naphthyl) -ethylenediamine coupling to generate red dyestuff. Absorbance was determined by Spectrophotometric method, spec-trophotometry, and the nitrite content (mg/L) was directly displayed after microcomputer chip processing.
