Overview
The Irish Tramex CME5 concrete moisture content tester is a professional moisture measuring instrument for the flooring industry with more than 30 years of experience in design and manufacturing. The instrument is used for nondestructive testing of concrete moisture content, complies with ASTM F2659 standards, provides accurate and repeability results, and can quickly perform multiple tests on large surfaces. The CME5 is a new upgrade of the CME4, featuring a rugged ergonomically designed housing, optional extension rod, and supports Bluetooth data transfer APP real-time reading and display humidity distribution map.
Features
ASTM F2659 compliant, providing accurate, repeatability results
2. Easy to use, allowing multiple tests on large areas in a short period of time
3. Robust and ergonomically designed housing
4. Optional extension rod for easy measurement
5. Support Bluetooth data transmission APP real-time reading and display humidity distribution map
Principle
The CME5 concrete moisture content tester evaluates the moisture content in the concrete slab or mortar layer by nondestructive measurement of electrical impedance. The bottom of the instrument is equipped with parallel and homoplanar Electrode, which transmits low-frequency signals to the concrete floor mortar layer during operation, reaching a depth of 20mm. The impedance changes caused by humidity during operation are displayed on a clear and easy-to-read analog dial. During the floor laying process, the instrument can instantly read the moisture content, helping the user decide when to lay the floor covering, ensuring that the concrete floor is fully dried.
Applications
Flooring industry
Steps
1. Install 2 AA alkaline batteries
2. Electrode the bottom of the instrument parallel to the concrete surface
3. Transmit low frequency signal to concrete floor mortar layer, depth up to 20mm
4. Read the impedance change caused by the humidity displayed on the analog dial
Notice
• Regularly check the moisture content of concrete to ensure adequate drying
• Make sure the battery is fully charged before use
• Keep the bottom of the instrument in good contact with the concrete surface during measurement
• Follow the manufacturer's recommended guidelines for floor coverings and gluing agents
