Overview
CMEX5 digital concrete moisture content tester is used for nondestructive timely and accurate testing of concrete moisture content, and can also test concrete and plaster carbide moisture content. ASTM F2659 standard, built-in environment relative humidity Sensor measurement environment relative humidity, temperature, dew point and mixing ratio. Optional Hygro-i2 in-situ relative humidity probe measurement in situ relative humidity and HH14TP30B heavy duty needle wood moisture probe measurement wood moisture content, and optional CDK concrete moisture content probe measurement concrete depth up to 100mm water content. CMEX5 is newly upgraded from CMEX2, with a sturdy ergonomic design housing, optional extension rod for easy measurement, real-time reading and display of humidity distribution maps and reports through Bluetooth data transmission APP.

Principle
The CMEX5 digital concrete moisture content tester evaluates the moisture in the concrete slab or mortar layer by nondestructive measurement of electrical impedance. The bottom of the instrument is equipped with a parallel homoplanar Electrode, which is used to transmit low-frequency signals to the concrete floor mortar layer during operation, up to a depth of 20mm. The changes in impedance caused by humidity during operation are displayed on a clear and easy-to-read display screen. When the selected Hygro- i2 in-situ relative humidity probe is inserted into the CMEX5, the instrument automatically switches to the in-situ relative humidity mode for the measurement of in-situ relative humidity, temperature and dew point of building structural materials. When the selected HH14TP30B heavy duty needle wood humidity probe is inserted into the CMEX5, the instrument automatically switches to wood humidity mode for measurement of moisture content in wood or wood products.
Applications
Concrete moisture content test, plaster moisture content test, wood moisture content test, in-situ relative humidity measurement of building structural materials
Standards
ASTM F2659、ASTM F2170、BS8201、BS8203
Steps
1. Electrode contact the bottom of the instrument parallel to the surface to be measured for concrete moisture content measurement
2. Optional Hygro-i2 in-situ relative humidity probe is inserted into the instrument and switched to the in-situ relative humidity mode for measurement
3. Optional HH14TP30B heavy-duty needle wood humidity probe insert instrument to switch to wood humidity mode for measurement
4. Real-time reading and display of humidity distribution map and report through Bluetooth data transmission APP
Notice
• Hygro-i2 in-situ relative humidity probe can be used for repeability, and needs to be calibrated regularly
• When using the HH14TP30B heavy duty needle wood humidity probe, the wood calibration table and temperature calibration chart provided can be used for accurate readings at different densities of wood and different temperatures
• The instrument uses 2 AA alkaline batteries as power supply
