Overview
The cable tester is a portable instrument composed of a transmitter, a receiver and accessories. It adopts new integrated devices and digital circuit technology for stable and reliable electrical performance. The transmitter sends an AC voltage modulated by a digital signal to the detected cable, which generates an alternating electric field around the cable; the receiver probe head generates an induced voltage when it is close to this electric field. After amplification, audio decoding, detection and digital technology processing, it is displayed on the LCD screen to detect the specific location and fault of the buried cable or pipeline according to the signal change.
Features
1. Adopt new integrated devices and digital circuit technology, stable and reliable electrical performance
2. Portable design, consisting of a transmitter, receiver, and accessories
3. The transmitter outputs a 125kHz signal with external voltage recognition function
4. The receiver has a variety of positioning modes, including unipolar applications, bipolar applications, and separate loops
5. LCD display with function display and bar chart, intuitive display of detection results
6. With grid voltage identification function, it can identify the external voltage range DC 12-400V +/- 2.5%, AC 12-400V (50-60Hz) +/- 2.5%
Principle
The transmitter sends a digital signal modulated AC voltage to the detected cable, which generates an alternating electric field around the cable. When the receiver probe is brought close to the electric field, the probe generates an induced voltage, which is amplified hundreds of times, then processed by audio decoding, wave detection, and digital technology. Finally, it is displayed on the LCD screen, and the specific location and fault of the buried cable or pipeline can be detected according to the change of the signal.
Applications
Communication cable construction, power cable construction, building pipeline construction, communication cable and power supply line maintenance, electric heating line maintenance
