Overview
PUSHEN DIN2 cup is a Benchtop viscosity cup, designed and produced according to the German standard DIN 53211, used to determine the viscosity of inks, coatings, paints and other products. This model corresponds to the 2mm measurement aperture, the cup body is made of aluminum alloy, and the nozzle is stainless steel, which has good corrosion resistance.
Features
It is designed and manufactured according to the German standard DIN 53211.
2. Provide a variety of models (No. 2, No. 4, No. 6, No. 8), corresponding to different aperture, suitable for different viscosity range determination.
3. Adopt stainless steel nozzle and aluminum alloy cup body, good corrosion resistance.
4. Simple test method for relative measurement and viscosity grading.
Principle
Benchtop DIN cups determine the relative viscosity of a volume of liquid by measuring the time it takes for it to completely flow out of a standard nozzle. The time to flow out (seconds) can characterize the viscosity of the liquid and can be converted to the kinematic viscosity unit centistoke (cSt) according to the standard formula.
Applications
Tack determination of inks, paints, etc
Steps
1. Prepare a stopwatch with high accuracy.
2. Inject the liquid to be tested into the DIN cup.
3. The measurement of the time (seconds) required for the liquid to completely flow out of the nozzle.
4. The measured outflow time can be converted into a kinematic viscosity value (e.g. centistoke cSt) by a standard formula.
Notice
• A stopwatch with high accuracy is required when using it.
• The measurement results (outflow time) need to be converted according to the standard formula to obtain accurate kinematic viscosity values.
