Overview
The TQC Zahn Cup VF2230 is a stainless steel Handheld viscosity testing tool for rapid viscosity assessment of medium, high and low viscosity liquids. The product is designed according to international standards, the structural Appearance and specifications meet the relevant application standards of Zahn Cup, the filter diameter is 5.3mm, the viscosity range is 400-1800cSt, and the flow time is 20-80 seconds.
Features
1. Stainless steel, durable and easy to clean
2. Available in five models, covering different viscosity ranges, VF2230 corresponds to 5.3mm filter diameter
3. Accuracy and repeatability in accordance with international standards
4. Handheld, immersion operation, convenient for on-site rapid testing
5. Comes with hard plastic box and soft protective material for easy storage and transportation
Principle
The Zahn Cup is based on the principles of Newtonian mechanics and is designed to evaluate the viscosity of liquids that meet or approach Newtonian mechanical properties (e.g. paints, inks, pigments, coatings). Quickly determine viscosity conformity by measuring the time it takes for liquids to flow out of standard pores. International standards specify precise dimensional tolerances and usage methods to ensure data accuracy.
Applications
Paints, inks, pigments, Coatings, Tack liquids and mixtures
Standards
ASTM D1084、ASTM D4212
Steps
1. Adjust the temperature of the liquid to be tested to 25 +/- 0.2 degrees Celsius
2. Select the Zahn Cup with the appropriate pore size according to the expected viscosity and fully immerse it in the liquid
3. measurement and recording of liquid temperature in the cup
4. Remove the thermometer
5. Lift the Zahn Cup vertically, start the stopwatch when leaving the liquid surface, and the height of the cup is not higher than 15 cm of the liquid surface
6. Stop timing when the beam is disconnected for the first time
Notice
Make sure the liquid temperature is stable at 25 +/- 0.2 degrees Celsius before testing
- Select the Zahn Cup model to match the estimated viscosity range
- The cup body must be completely submerged in liquid when immersed
- The lifting process needs to be fast and stable, and the height of the cup should not exceed 15 cm of the liquid level
- Clean with a soft cloth to avoid abrasion tools such as wire brushes
- Clean the outflow hole in time after each use to remove residues
- Establish safety regulations before testing and adhere to applicable regulations when handling hazardous materials
