Overview
The LC-DR-53B Digital Refractometer is a Portable instrument for measurement of solution concentration, also known as a digital glucose meter or concentration meter. It has a Brix Measurement range of 0 to 32% and is suitable for measurement of fruit juices, food, beverages, and certain industrial solvents such as cutting oils and antifreeze.
Features
1. The LCD screen displays both sugar content and temperature, making the readings intuitive and clear.
2. Use touch button, one key measurement, Response Time about 3 seconds, easy to operate.
3. Sample chamber is made of zinc alloy, and the bottom is a precision Glass prism, which is sturdy and durable.
4. With no cover design and built-in filter, the measurement is not affected by strong light or solution Color.
5. With automatic temperature compensation function, strong adaptability.
6. Support the use of tap water for calibrating, convenient and fast.
7. With automatic shutdown function for 2 minutes without operation, saving energy and power.
Principle
The digital refractometer works based on the principle that the refractive index changes when the ray of light passes through the solution of different concentrations. The built-in Optical inspection system of the instrument shines the ray of light on the sample, detects the change of the refractive angle, calculates and converts it into a concentration value by the internal processor, and finally displays the result on the LCD screen.
Applications
Juice, food, beverage, cutting oil, cleaning fluid, antifreeze

Steps
1. Turn on the instrument power.
2. Use tap water to calibrate the instrument.
3. Take more than 0.3 ml of the sample to be tested and add it dropwise to the Sample chamber.
4. Press the measurement button and wait for about 3 seconds.
5. Read the Brix and temperature values displayed on the LCD screen.
Notice
• Instrument Operating Environment Temperature should be between 10-40 ℃.
• Ensure that the sampling volume is not less than 0.3ml.
• Make sure to calibrate with tap water before measurement.
• The instrument has an automatic shutdown function, which will automatically shut down if it is not operated for a long time to save power.
• Do not make measurements in direct light, although the instrument has a built-in filter, it is still recommended to use it in normal rays of light.
• Keep the Sampling chamber, especially the Glass Prism at the bottom, clean to avoid affecting Measurement accuracy.
