The TQC Zahn Cup VF2227 is a Handheld viscosity test cup made of stainless steel, designed for medium, high and low viscosity liquids, meeting international standards. With a 2.7mm diameter filter, it is suitable for a viscosity range of 20-250cst and a flow time of 20-80 seconds, providing accurate and reliable viscosity measurement.

Principle
The Zahn Cup is based on the principles of newtonian fluid mechanics and calculates the kinematic viscosity by measuring the time it takes for a specific volume of liquid to flow out of a standard pore size. When the cup is lifted vertically, the liquid flows out of the filter, and the time from leaving the liquid level to the first stop is proportional to the liquid viscosity. This allows for a quick assessment of product conformity.

Steps
1. Adjust and maintain the temperature of the liquid to be tested at 25 +/- 0.2 ° C
2. Select the Zahn Cup with the appropriate pore size according to the estimated viscosity
3. Fully immerse the cup body in the liquid to be tested
4. Measurement and recording of liquid temperature in the cup
5. Quickly lift the cup vertically and start the timer at the same time
6. Stop timing when the first outage is observed
Notice
• Temperature fluctuations during testing must not exceed +/- 0.2 ° C
• The height of the cup should not be higher than 15 cm above the liquid level
• Use soft cloth to clean and avoid abrasion tools
• It should be cleaned in time after each use, with special attention to cleaning the outflow hole
• Appropriate safety precautions need to be established before testing
