Overview
LICHEN Technology KDN series nitrogen determination instrument distillation device (type B) works on the principle of Kjeldahl nitrogen determination. The products are divided into two series: fully automatic and semi-automatic. Heating mode is divided into electric heating pipe heating (suitable for different water sources) and Electrode heating (suitable for water sources with relatively low conductivity).
Features
1. Using international standard Kjeldahl nitrogen determination method: concentrated sulfuric acid digestion, alkaline environment steam distillation, Boricacid absorption, indicator titration endpoint Color determination method.
2. Self-contained, can be switched at any time (only HR-500, HR1000 models).
3. The inner lining is ABS anti-corrosion board, which effectively prevents corrosion.
4. Appearance design, reliable circuit design.
Principle
Based on the principle of Kjeldahl nitrogen determination, the distillation device digests the sample by concentrated sulfuric acid, performs steam distillation in an alkaline environment, and the ammonia gas produced is absorbed by Boricacid. Finally, the end point is determined by indicator titration, so as to calculate the nitrogen content in the sample.
Applications
Food, Food, Dairy, Beverage, Feed, Soil, Water, Drugs, Sediments and Chemicals
Standards
International standard Kjeldahl method
Steps
1. Sample digestion: The sample is digested with concentrated sulfuric acid.
2. distillation: the digested sample is placed in an alkaline environment for steam distillation.
3. Absorption: Ammonia produced by distillation is absorbed by Boricacid solution.
4. Titration: Use the indicator for titration to determine the destination Color.
5. Calculation: Calculate the nitrogen content of the sample based on the titration results.
Notice
• The input power supply is AC220V 50HZ, Power 800W, please make sure the power supply matches.
• Steam water sources require purified or distillation water.
Sample volume should be controlled: solid samples should be less than 5g, and liquid samples should be less than 20ml.
The measurement range applies to samples containing 0.02-98% nitrogen (or 0.1-220 mg nitrogen).
• The distillation rate depends on the sample volume and is usually 4 to 10 minutes.
