Overview
LICHEN Technology KDN series nitrogen determination instrument distillation device (model: C type) uses the principle of Kjeldahl nitrogen determination to determine the nitrogen content in the sample. The products are divided into two series: fully automatic and semi-automatic. Heating mode is divided into electric heating tube heating (suitable for different water sources) and Electrode heating (suitable for water sources with relatively low conductivity).
Features
1. Using international standard Kjeldahl nitrogen determination method: concentrated sulfuric acid digestion, alkaline environment steam distillation, Boricacid absorption, indicator titration endpoint Color determination method.
2. Self-contained, can be switched at any time (only HR-500, HR1000 models).
3. The inner lining is ABS anti-corrosion board, which effectively prevents corrosion.
4. New Appearance Design, Reliable Circuit Design.
Principle
The nitrogen analyzer is based on the principle of Kjeldahl nitrogen determination. The sample is digested by concentrated sulfuric acid, steam distillation is carried out in an alkaline environment, and the ammonia produced is absorbed by Boricacid. Finally, the nitrogen content is determined by titration of the indicator to the end point Color change.
Applications
Food, Food, Dairy, Beverage, Feed, Soil, Water, Drugs, Sediments and Chemicals
Standards
International standard Kjeldahl method
Steps
1. Sample digestion: The sample is digested using concentrated sulfuric acid.
2. Steam distillation: The digested sample is placed in an alkaline environment for steam distillation.
3. Absorption: Ammonia produced by distillation is absorbed with Boricacid solution.
4. Titration: Use the indicator to titrate until the destination Color is reached.
Notice
• The input power of the instrument is AC220V 50HZ, Power 800W, please make sure the power supply matches.
• It is recommended to use tap water for steam sources.
Sample volume should be controlled: solid samples should be less than 5g, and liquid samples should be less than 20ml.
Determination range: nitrogen content 0.02-98% (or 0.1-220 mg).
• The inner lining of the instrument is ABS anti-corrosion board, but care should be taken to avoid direct contact with strong corrosion substances.
• The distillation rate depends on the sample volume and is usually 4 to 10 minutes.
