Overview
The LS213 Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge is a portable measurement device of the LINSHANG brand. It is easy to operate and uses the principle of ultrasonic pulse reflection to test the film thickness of materials. The instrument has a test range of 0.8mm-350mm and can perform measurement on most engineering materials, including metals (such as steel, aluminum, copper, etc.), plastics, Pottery and porcelain, Glass and Miscellaneous any ultrasonic good conductor.
Features
1. Measurement range: 0.8-350 mm (45 #steel)
2. High resolution display: 001/0.01/0.1mm adjustable
3. Measurement accuracy: 0.8-10 mm accuracy +/- 0.05mm, 10-350mm accuracy +/- 0.5% H
4. Portable design: weight about 230g, size 142 * 72 * 28mm
5. Operating temperature range: -10~ 50 ℃
6. Dual unit format: support mm/inch switching
7. Long battery life power supply: use 2 AA alkaline dry batteries
Principle
LS213 Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge uses the principle of ultrasonic pulse reflection for measurement. When the ultrasonic pulse emitted by one of the crystal sensors of the dual crystal probe passes through the measured object and reaches the material interface, the pulse will be reflected, and the other crystal Sensor receives the echo. The professional timing chip in the instrument accurately records the time of ultrasonic wave propagation in the material. Finally, the instrument determines the film thickness of the measured material through time and sound speed.
Applications
Metal materials (steel, aluminum, copper, etc.), Plastic, Pottery and porcelain, Glass, Ultrasonic good conductor
Steps
1. Install 2 AA alkaline dry batteries
2. Select the appropriate probe (standard 5MHz φ 10 dual crystal probe)
3. Set the sound speed range (1000~ 9999m/s)
4. Select display unit (mm/inch)
5. Contact the probe with the surface of the material under test
6. Read the Film thickness value displayed on the display
7. Measurement range selection of appropriate resolution (001/0.01/0.1mm)
Notice
• Working environment temperature: -10~ 50 ℃, humidity 0~ 85% RH (no condensation)
Storage temperature: -10~ 60 ℃, humidity 0~ 85% RH (no condensation)
Make sure the probe is in good contact with the surface of the material being tested
• Correctly set the sound speed parameters according to the material type
• Regularly check battery level to ensure Measurement accuracy
• Avoid using the instrument in a condensation environment
