Overview
American Leneta Form M12-BG lame plating sticker is an imported test paper dedicated to paints and inks hiding power testing. The product is black and white/gray plaid style with sticker on the back, has good anti-permeability, does not contain Fluorescent Whitening Agent, and can meet professional hiding power testing needs.
Features
1. Test cardboard coated with varnish, suitable for a variety of water-based and solvent coating systems.
2. Ensure that no fluorescent agent is added, in line with ASTM D344 standards.
3. Repeatability of different batches.
4. With adhesion characteristics, especially suitable for latex paint.
5. The design is sturdy, which can prevent the film from curling and bending.
6. Encasement box adopts low permeability cissing membrane Encasement to prevent moisture during transportation and storage.
7. The batch number is printed on each cardboard.
Principle
This product is used to measure the hiding power (or spreading rate) of the paint, which is the ability of the paint to cover the substrate Color. The hiding power is calculated by the formula (Y black/Y white * 100%), and 100% means complete covering, that is, there is no Color difference between the black and white areas after the film.
Applications
Paints, inks
Standards
ASTM D344、D4941
Steps
1. Prepare the paint sample to be tested.
Spreader or spray the paint evenly over the black and white/gray area of the Form M12-BG Opacity Chart.
3. After the film drying, observe or use the instrument to measure the color difference between the black and white areas.
4. Calculate the percentage of hiding power of the paint according to the formula.
Notice
• The choice of hiding power chart should consider the coating formula and process, and different solvent systems should use corresponding solvent-resistant cardboard (including sealed or unsealed).
• Please store properly to avoid moisture to maintain paper jam performance.
• Please confirm the cardboard batch number before use.
