Overview
Leneta Form M72 lame plating is a special test paper for hiding power detection of paints inks with a sticker on the back. The product is black and white/gray plaid style, does not contain Fluorescent Whitening Agent, has good permeability, and can meet the needs of hiding power testing.
Features
1. Test cardboard coated with varnish, suitable for water-based and solvent coating systems.
2. Ensure that no fluorescent agent is added, in line with ASTM D344 standards.
3. Color and Gloss have good inter-batch Repeatability.
4. With high adhesion characteristics, especially suitable for latex paint.
5. The design is sturdy, which can prevent the film from curling and bending.
6. Encasement box adopts low permeability cissing membrane Encasement to prevent moisture during transportation and storage.
7. The batch number is printed on each cardboard.
Principle
Opacity Chart is used to visually evaluate the hiding power of coatings. The hiding power (spreading rate) is calculated as: hiding power (%) = Y black/Y white * 100%. 100% means complete covering, i.e. there is no difference between the black and white areas after film. This product provides a standardized test substrate for paint Spreaders with its Fluorescent Whitening Agent-free, impermeable surface.
Applications
Paints, inks
Steps
1. Choose the appropriate Opacity Chart type (sealed or unsealed) according to the coating process.
2. Spreader the paint sample in the Checkerboard area of the Opacity Chart.
3. After the film drying, the difference between the black and white areas is visually compared.
4. Calculate or evaluate the hiding power percentage of the paint.
Notice
• For different paints formulations and solvent types, the corresponding solvent resistance test cardboard (including sealed or unsealed) should be selected.
• Pay attention to the storage environment to prevent moisture.
