Overview
The LBTQ703 Ultra-thin Pipe Thickness Gauge uses the ultrasonic Measurement principle and is suitable for material film thickness measurement that allows ultrasonic waves to propagate in it at a constant speed and to obtain reflection from its back. The instrument can make accurate measurements of sheets and machined parts, and can monitor pipes and Pressure Vessels in production equipment to monitor their thinning after corrosion during use.
Features
1. Using "echo-echo" technology to achieve ultra-thin part measurement, the minimum Film thickness (steel) can reach 0.15mm; High Accuracy thickness measurement, resolution can reach 0.001mm; Penetrating surface platings measurement Substrate Film thickness
2. Increase penetration coating measurement substrate Film thickness function
3. Measurement modes: bottom wave-echo mode to meet the conventional thick workpiece measurement; echo-echo mode to meet the thin workpiece Measurement accuracy
4. The probe is placed on the thickness gauge test block and the button is automatically adjusted to zero.
5. LED backlight display, easy to use in dim environment with rays of light
6. With sound speed calibrated (reverse sound speed measurement) or single point Adjustment
7. Alarm settings and difference mode settings are possible
8. Metric-inch conversion; mm and inch switchable units
9. Can store the speed of sound of 5 different materials
Principle
The principle of ultrasonic measurement Film thickness is similar to the light wave Measurement principle. The ultrasonic pulse emitted by the probe reaches the back measurement object and propagates in the object, and is reflected back to the probe when it reaches the material interface. Film thickness of the measured material is determined by accurate measurement of the time of ultrasonic wave propagation in the material.
Applications
Petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, shipbuilding, aviation, aerospace
Steps
1. The probe is placed on the thickness gauge test block and the button is automatically adjusted to zero.
2. Select Measurement mode: Bottom-Echo Mode or Echo-Echo Mode
3. Perform sound speed calibrating or single point calibrating
4. Set the alarm and difference mode (optional)
5. Film thickness measurement
6. Switchable metric and inch units
7. Storage of measurement data
Notice
• For materials that allow ultrasonic waves to travel within them at a constant speed and receive reflections from the back
• Coating thickness is 0.5mm
• Working environment temperature is -10 ℃~ + 50 ℃, with special requirements up to -20 ℃
• When the battery is low, there is a low voltage prompt
• Automatic shutdown after 5 minutes of no operation
• Use appropriate coupling agent to ensure measurement accuracy
