Overview
LENETA Form 8K Opacity Chart is a professional test cardboard used to detect paint, inks hiding power performance and levelling sagging. Its surface is black and white striped style and covered with a layer of sealed, which can effectively prevent paint penetration and ensure the accuracy of test results. This product is mainly used to measure the hiding power to calculate the actual production situation such as paint application cost.
Features
1. The surface is covered with a sealed coating to prevent the penetration of the paint and ensure the accuracy of the test.
2. Adopt a black and white striped design for clear observation and evaluation of the covering effect.
3. Uniform specifications, Encasement is 250 sheets per box, meeting batch testing requirements.
4. Suitable for testing a variety of coatings and inks.
Principle
The Opacity Chart uses the black and white stripes on its surface as the test substrate. Spreader the paint evenly on the paper, and the degree to which the drying film covers the black and white stripes reflects the covering ability of the paint. The hiding power (hiding ratio) is calculated as: Y black/Y white * 100%. The higher the value, the better the covering effect. This test method can also be applied to the detection of hiding ratio of transparent films and plastic products.
Applications
Paints, inks
Steps
1. Spreader paints and other paints evenly on the Opacity Chart according to the film steps.
2. Wait for the film to be fully dried by air.
3. Using the instrument for objective evaluation, the hiding power value can be measured and automatically displayed within 1 second.
Notice
• The lame plating method needs to be correct to ensure that the film thickness is appropriate, flat and uniform.
• Illumination conditions and spray booth space should be appropriate, with special attention to the lame plating mass in inaccessible areas.
• Mix the paints well before the test.
• It is forbidden to over-polish the paint film, and special attention should be paid to the corner areas.
• In the case of poor paints hiding power, the defective area needs to be sanded and re-painted.
