Overview
American Leneta Form nwk unsealed cardboard is a black and white Opacity Chart, surface unsealed coating, with good anti-permeability. It is specially designed for carton and other industries, suitable for hiding power measurement of paints and inks, and is a professional tool for evaluating the covering ability of coatings.
Features
1. The surface is unsealed, suitable for specific industry needs such as cartons.
2. Adopt top black and bottom white design to facilitate hiding power calculation and evaluation.
3. It has good anti-permeability and prevents excessive penetration of paint inks.
4. Meet ASTM D 1653 standards to ensure the professionalism and accuracy of the test.
5. Uniform specifications, 250 sheets per box, convenient for laboratory batch use.
Principle
The Opacity Chart provides a contrast background for coatings through its black and white areas. Spreader the paint evenly on the paper, and after drying, measure the ratio of the black area to the white area coating reflectance through the instrument, that is, hiding power (%) = Y black/Y white * 100%. This value intuitively reflects the ability of the coating to cover the underlying Color, 100% represents complete cover.
Applications
Paints/inks hiding power measurement, carton industry testing
Steps
1. Spreader paint evenly on the Opacity Chart by following the film steps.
2. After the film is fully dried by air, the instrument is used for objective evaluation.
3. The hiding power value can be measured and automatically displayed within 1 second.
Notice
* When conducting hiding power test, make sure that the paint is evenly Spreader to avoid uneven thickness affecting the results.
Before testing, ensure that the paint is fully stirred and adjusted to standard temperature and viscosity as required.
* Spreader Opacity Charts must be placed horizontally through drying under standard conditions such as 23 ° C.
When grading, the edge of the Spreader stripe should be ignored and the central area should be mainly observed.
* For leveling tests, use the specified equipment (e.g. Leneta levelling device, standard board, etc.) and follow the standard process.
* Opacity Chart is not limited to paints, but can also be used for hiding ratio detection of transparent films and plastic products.
