Overview
LANDTEK HT-6510S-B sand surface hardness gauge is a professional instrument for measuring the surface Hardness of wet mold sand/core, providing technical parameters for formulating the molding process. The instrument belongs to type B and is suitable for surface hardness testing of fine and coarse sand/core for manual or mechanical low and medium pressure molding. Hardness value is expressed in HB, no unit is required.
Features
1. Suitable for manual or mechanical low and medium pressure molding of fine, coarse sand type/core surface hardness testing
2. With average calculation, MAX Maximum latch and undervoltage alarm indication function
3. USB cable and Bluetooth data output, can communicate with PC
4.4-Bit 10mm LCD display displaying Hardness, Average and MAX Maximum
5. Automatic shutdown function and low voltage prompt, energy saving and environmental protection
6. Lightweight and portable, weight only 170g (without battery), size is 176x65x27mm
Principle
The sand surface hardness gauge measures the sand surface Hardness by applying a specific load and compression stroke. The B-type hardness gauge uses a ball R12.70 indenter, under a 980g load and a 50g pressurized load, the compression stroke is 2.50mm. The measurement Hardness value is expressed in HB, no units are required, and the Hardness value is large if the unit value is large.
Applications
Manual molding, mechanical low and medium pressure molding of fine sand mold/core surface hardness testing, mechanical low and medium pressure molding of coarse sand mold/core surface hardness testing
Steps
1. Install 2 AA batteries to ensure sufficient power supply
2. Align the hardness gauge head to the sand/core surface
3. Apply pressure for measurement, the instrument automatically displays Hardness value
4. Record data using the Average and MAX Maximum Latch functions
5. Connect to the PC via USB cable or Bluetooth to transfer data
6. Automatic shutdown or manual shutdown after use to save power
Notice
Measurement range is limited to 10HB to 90HB, out of range may affect accuracy
The working environment temperature should be kept at 0~ 40 ℃, humidity below 80% RH
• Regularly check the battery level to avoid low voltage affecting the measurement
• Make sure the indenter is clean before use to avoid contamination affecting the test results
• Avoid using the instrument in extreme environments or strong vibrations
• Optional accessories such as USB cable and software, Bluetooth adapter and software need to be installed and used correctly
