Overview
The Leneta Form WA sealed Opacity Chart is a pure white professional test paper with a sealed surface. The product offers a variety of Dimensions, including the WD model, which is widely used in paints, inks and other industries to evaluate the hiding power performance of paints and other paints.
Features
1. Pure white substrate, surface sealed, suitable for hiding power testing.
2. Provide a variety of Dimensions (e.g. Form WA, WB, WDX, WD) to meet different testing requirements.
3. Material meets ASTM standards to ensure Reliability and conformity of test results.
4. According to user big data, it has applications in Marine, Aerospace, Mobile phone & digital products and biological industries.
Principle
The Opacity Chart is used to determine the hiding ability of materials such as paints. The principle is to evenly Spreader the paint on the test paper, and after drying, calculate the hiding ratio by measuring or comparing the reflectance difference of the film on the white area of the paper and the black (or dark) area. Hiding ratio 100% means that the film completely covers the lower surface without color difference.
Applications
Coatings, inks, Marine, Aerospace, Mobile phones & digital products, Bio
Steps
1. Spreader paints and other paints evenly on the paints Opacity Chart according to the film steps.
2. After the film is fully dried by air, the instrument is used for objective evaluation.
3. The hiding power value can be measured and automatically displayed within 1 second.
Notice
• Poor paints hiding power may be caused by improper lame plating, Illumination conditions, uneven mixing of paints, or excessive film polishing.
• To prevent poor hiding power, use the correct lame plating method, ensure good paint room space and lighting, effectively mix paints evenly and avoid excessive polishing.
• When repairing hidden power defects, sanding the defective area and then re-painting.
• Opacity Chart can also be used for hiding ratio detection of transparent film and plastic products.
• When performing levelling or sag tests, prepare coatings, paints, and grades in strict accordance with the corresponding ASTM standard methods (e.g. D 4062, D4400).
