The hardness gauge is based on the Richter Hardness Measurement principle. The tungsten carbide impact body is ejected to the surface of the measured material by the Impact device, and the ratio of the rebound velocity of the Impact body at 1mm from the surface of the sample is measured. The ratio is related to the Richter Hardness value of the material. The instrument converts the Richter Hardness value into the corresponding value of the Miscellaneous common Hardness scale (such as HB, HRC, etc.) through internal calculation and displays it.

1. Select the appropriate Impact device according to the tested material and install it on the main engine. 2. Turn it on and select the corresponding material code in the menu according to the material type (e.g. steel and cast steel, stainless steel, roll material or user-defined material). 3. Set the measurement direction (vertical down, oblique down, horizontal, oblique up, vertical up). 4. Press the Impact device vertically on the surface of the workpiece to be tested, and press the Impact device release button for measurement. 5. Read the Hardness value displayed on the screen (the Richter value and the Miscellaneous Hardness standard value can be displayed simultaneously). 6. Multiple measurements can be made and averages can be viewed. 7. The measurement data can be automatically stored or transferred to the computer via the USB interface for further analysis.
