Overview
NDT350 split coating platings thickness gauge is a precision measuring instrument using penetrating ultrasonic technology. It is equipped with 2.4 inch true color LCD screen, with the function of penetrating paint film and coating, suitable for thickness measurement of metal, plastic, ceramic, Glass and other materials processing parts, and can monitor the corrosion and thinning of pipes, Pressure Vessels and other equipment during use. The instrument is widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, shipbuilding, aviation, aerospace and other fields.
Features
1. Probe zero Automatic calibration.
2. Provide a variety of practical Measurement modes: Standard Measurement mode, High Peak Measurement mode, MIN Minimum Measurement mode, Difference Measurement mode, Average Measurement mode, High Temperature Measurement mode (need high temperature Probe).
3. Humanized data storage mode: Data can be saved in groups, and the amount of data saved in each group can be selected to simplify operations.
4. Full Chinese menu, easy to operate and learn.
5. Data storage: unlimited number of storage.
6. Suitable for measurement of coarse grain materials such as gray cast iron (special coarse crystal Probe needs to be purchased separately).
7. Suitable for measurement of high temperature materials, up to 300 degrees or 500 degrees (need to buy a special high temperature Probe).
Principle
The NDT350 uses the principle of penetrating ultrasonic thickness measurement. The instrument emits ultrasonic pulses to the material under test through Probe and receives echoes reflected from the bottom surface of the material. The thickness of the material can be calculated by measuring the time of ultrasonic propagation in the material, combined with the known Speed of sound of the material. Its penetrating coating mode can effectively penetrate the surface paint film or coating, and directly measure the true thickness of the substrate.
Applications
Petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, shipbuilding, aviation, aerospace
Steps
1. Turn on and select Measurement mode (such as standard mode, coating penetration mode, etc.).
2. Set or calibrate Speed of sound according to the measured material.
3. Apply the Probe coupler to the tested surface to ensure that the Probe is in good contact with the tested surface.
4. Stably place the Probe for measurement and read the thickness value displayed on the screen.
5. Select data storage mode for grouping or single point Data storage as needed.
6. After the measurement is completed, the data can be exported through the TF card or USB interface.
Notice
• Ensure that there is sufficient coupling agent between the Probe and the surface under test to obtain accurate readings.
• When measuring high temperature materials, special high temperature Probes must be used and attention should be paid to operation safety.
• When measuring coarse grain materials (such as gray cast iron), special coarse grain Probe is required.
• Ambient Temperature of the instrument is 0~ 40 ℃, do not use in an environment beyond this range.
• When the power is insufficient, the instrument will prompt low voltage, please replace the battery in time.
• Automatic shutdown time can be set as needed to save power.
