Overview
This instrument is a CHENCHI brand tearing meter, model SLD-J, used to determine the internal tearing impedance or tearing degree of paper. Its working principle is based on the work consumed by tearing a sample of a certain length. It is usually tested by overlapping 16 sheets of paper to calculate the force required to tear a sample, expressed in grams. The instrument is simple to operate, reliable performance, excellent technology, digital display of test data, and equipped with a printer to print test reports. It is an indispensable professional equipment for R & D institutions, paper mills, Encasement industries, and Quality control departments.
Features
1. Simple operation, reliable performance, excellent technology; 2. Digital display of test data; 3. Equipped with printer to print test report; 4. Measurement range, covering 10~ 1000mN; 5. Indication Error and repeatability error are small to ensure High Accuracy.
Principle
The working principle of the instrument is based on the work consumed by tearing the test sample to a certain length. Usually, the tearing test is performed with 16 sheets of paper overlapping each other. The total work consumed by tearing these papers is divided by the product of the number of sheets tearing the sample and the tearing distance. The resulting quotient is the force required to tear a sample, expressed in grams. The calculation condition is to tear 16 samples, and the tearing distance is 86mm (the tearing length of the sample is 43mm, and the tearing distance is twice that).
Applications
R & D institutions, paper mills, Encasement industries, Quality control departments
Steps
1. Prepare the test sample, usually 16 sheets of paper overlapping each other; 2. Place the sample in the paper holder of the instrument; 3. Start the instrument for tear test; 4. The instrument automatically calculates the tear force and displays the results digitally; 5. Use the printer to print the test report.
Notice
• Ensure that the working conditions are within the range of temperature 20~ 40 ° C and relative humidity ≤ 85%; • The tearing distance of the sample should be controlled at 43 +/- 0.5mm; • The distance between the paper jacks should be kept at 2.8 +/- 0.3mm; • Regularly check the instrument Indication Error and repeatability error to ensure accuracy; • Avoid using the instrument beyond the Measurement range.
