Overview
PUSHEN ISO-4 #flow cup with bracket is a Benchtop viscosity cup, model 4, with a pore size of 4mm. The product is made of anodic oxidation aluminum cup body and stainless steel nozzle, and meets ASTM D 5125 and ISO 2431 standards for viscosity measurement of coatings, varnishes, and similar products. Its kinematic viscosity Measurement range is about 34 to 135 centimeters (cSt), and the corresponding outflow time is about 25 to 100 seconds.
Features
1. Provide a variety of model options, including No. 3, No. 4, No. 5, No. 6 and customizable No. 8, corresponding to different apertures.
2. The cup body is made of anodic oxidation aluminum, and the nozzle is stainless steel, which is sturdy and durable.
Designed to comply with ASTM D 5125 and ISO 2431 international standards.
4. Designed for Benchtop, including brackets for easy operation.
Principle
The PUSHEN ISO cup determines the kinematic viscosity of a volume of fluid (e.g. paint, varnish) by measuring the time it takes for it to completely flow out of a standard pore size under gravity. The outflow time (in seconds) can be directly expressed as viscosity, or it can be converted to a kinematic viscosity unit in centimeters (cSt) by a conversion tool.
Applications
Paint, varnish
Standards
ASTM D 5125、ISO 2431
Steps
1. Place the ISO cup stably on the countertop through the bracket.
2. Make sure the cup is clean and drying.
3. Plug the flow hole with your finger and pour the sample to be tested into the cup until it is full.
4. Remove your finger and start timing at the same time, allowing the sample to flow freely.
5. Stop timing when the sample streamer is cut off for the first time, and record the outflow time (seconds).
6. According to the number of seconds recorded, it can be converted into centimeters (cSt) units by the viscosity converter.
Notice
• Before use, make sure that the cup body and flow hole are clean, drying, and free of residue.
• When pouring the sample, avoid bubbles and ensure that the liquid level is full.
• Keep the cup vertical and stable during measurement, and ensure that the sample temperature is stable, because temperature will affect viscosity.
• Record the outflow time to be accurate to the second and stop the timing when the sample streamer is first cut off.
• After use, the viscosity cup should be thoroughly cleaned in time to prevent the sample from drying up and blocking the flow hole.
• This product is a precision measuring instrument and should be handled with care to avoid bumping, especially the flow hole.
