Overview
PUSHEN ISO-5 #flow cup with bracket is a Benchtop viscosity cup, model No. 5, with an outflow aperture of 5mm. Measurement range is 91~ 326cSt. The flow time is 25~ 100 seconds. The cup body is made of anodic oxidation aluminum, and the flow nozzle is made of stainless steel. It is specially used for viscosity measurement of coatings, varnish and similar products. The product is designed to comply with ASTM D 5125 and ISO 2431 standards and is a commonly used instrument for viscosity testing in laboratories.
Features
1. Provide a variety of model options, covering 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm (need to be customized) different outflow aperture.
2. The cup body is made of anodic oxidation aluminum, and the nozzle is stainless steel, which is sturdy and durable.
Designed to comply with ASTM D 5125 and ISO 2431 international standards.
4. Special brackets are provided to facilitate Benchtop operation.
Principle
The viscosity cup evaluates the viscosity of a liquid by measuring the time it takes for a volume of liquid to flow through a standard nozzle. The longer the time, the higher the viscosity. The measured flow time (in seconds) can be used directly for relative comparison or converted to the kinematic viscosity unit centistokes (cSt) by a scaler.
Applications
Paint, varnish
Standards
ASTM D 5125、ISO 2431
Steps
1. Assemble the viscosity cup and bracket to ensure smooth placement.
2. Pour the sample to be tested into the viscosity cup until full.
3. Quickly remove your finger or baffle and start the stopwatch.
4. Observe the sample outflow process, and immediately stop the stopwatch when the streamer is interrupted for the first time.
5. Record the time (seconds) required for the stream to complete.
Notice
* When testing, a stopwatch with high accuracy is required.
* Ensure that the test environment and sample temperature meet the standard requirements to obtain accurate results.
* After use, the viscosity cup should be cleaned in time to prevent the residue from clogging the nozzle.
* Keep the viscosity cup vertical during operation and ensure that there are no obstacles under the nozzle.
