Overview
PUSHEN ISO-6 #flow cup with bracket is a Benchtop viscosity cup with ISO-6 #and a 6mm pore size. Made of anodic oxidation aluminum cup body and stainless steel nozzle, this product complies with ASTM D 5125 and ISO 2431 standards and is designed for laboratory viscosity measurement of coatings, varnishes and similar products.
Features
1. Provide a variety of models to choose from (No. 3, No. 4, No. 5, No. 6, No. 8), with aperture sizes of 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm respectively.
2. The cup body is made of anodic oxidation aluminum, and the nozzle is made of stainless steel, which is sturdy and durable.
Complies with ASTM D 5125 and ISO 2431 international standards.
4. Benchtop design, equipped with brackets for easy operation.
Principle
The viscosity of the PUSHEN ISO cup is determined by measuring the time it takes for a volume of fluid (e.g. paint, varnish) to completely flow out of a fixed aperture (e.g. 6mm) at the bottom of the standard cup. The flow time (seconds) can directly represent the kinematic viscosity value, and can also be converted to centimeters (cSt) units by conversion tools.
Applications
Paint, varnish
Standards
ASTM D 5125、ISO 2431
Steps
1. Place the ISO cup on the stand to ensure level.
2. Plug the flow hole with the appropriate tools.
3. Pour the sample to be tested into the cup until it is full.
4. Quickly remove the plug tool and start timing at the same time.
5. Observe the fluid outflow process and stop timing when the fluid flow wire stops flowing for the first time.
6. Record the time (seconds) for the complete outflow of the fluid.
7. Time can be converted to kinematic viscosity units in centimeters (cSt) by conversion tools as needed.
Notice
• Please make sure that the cup body is clean and drying before use, and the flow hole is not blocked.
• Keep the cup level during operation to ensure measurement accuracy.
• Ambient Temperature should be kept stable during measurement because temperature affects fluid viscosity.
• Record the first stop time of the streamer as the outflow end point.
• After use, the viscosity cup should be thoroughly cleaned in time to prevent residual curing of the sample.
• Please select the appropriate pore size model according to the estimated viscosity range of the tested sample (e.g. ISO-6 #is suitable for a viscosity range of about 188~ 684cSt).
