Overview
UK Thermax Irreversible Thermometric Paper (model: 4 micro9) is a series of temperature test labels that record the highest temperature reached by the label. These self-adhesive Thermometric Papers consist of a series of temperature-sensitive elements, sealed between heat-resistant substrates with transparent windows, each of which changes Color significantly and irreversibly when the rated temperature is exceeded, providing a temperature history of the monitored surface and can be attached as a reference in inspection reports.
Features
1. Long-term record of reaching the highest temperature
2. Self-adhesive label design
3. Silver to Black Color Variation
4. Immediate Response
5. Resistant to oil, water and steam
6. High Accuracy: +/- 1 ° C below 100 ° C; +/- 1.5 ° C at 100 ° C to 154 ° C; +/- 4 ° C above 154 ° C
Principle
Temperature sensitive components utilize the precise melting points of a series of specially purified organic chemicals to produce a unique, High Accuracy Color Change effect. Each temperature point uses a different compound, which is manufactured individually by applying a coating containing the chemical to a special absorbent paper substrate; when the rated temperature is exceeded, the chemical melts and is absorbed by the substrate, resulting in an irreversible Color Change.
Applications
Temperature monitoring, industrial inspections, and equipment maintenance
Steps
1. Paste Self-Adhesive Thermometric Paper on the monitored surface
2. Monitor Temperature Changes and Observe Color Changes
3. When the rated temperature is exceeded, the component irreversibly changes color
4. Remove the label and attach it to the inspection report as a record
