Overview
The TR 1008/4 ISO Cup is an ISO 2431 and GB/T 6753.4 compliant viscosity measurement tool for assessing viscosity by measuring the time it takes for a liquid to flow out of the cup. The product is designed with a 4mm aperture, a measurement viscosity range of 35 to 135cst, and a volume of 108ml. It is suitable for viscosity testing of Newtonian or near Newtonian liquids such as inks, coatings, and paints.
Features
1. The cup body is made of high-quality aluminum alloy and has been treated with anodic oxidation to ensure durability.
2. The nozzle is made of high-quality stainless steel, providing accurate liquid flow control.
3. Provide a variety of pore size options to adapt to different viscosity measurement needs.
4. The design conforms to international standards to ensure the accuracy and comparability of measurement results.
Principle
The ISO standard viscosity cup evaluates viscosity by measuring the time it takes for the liquid to flow out of the cup. When in use, the liquid is injected into the cup, the outlet is opened, the liquid flow time is recorded, and the viscosity value is calculated according to the ISO standard formula. Cups with different apertures correspond to different viscosity ranges to ensure accurate measurement.
Applications
Inks, Coatings, paints, Miscellaneous Newtonian or near-Newtonian liquids
Standards
GB/T 6753.4、ISO 2431
Steps
1. Inject the liquid into the ISO cup to the scale line.
2. Open the outlet and allow the liquid to flow out.
3. Record the time required for the liquid to completely drain.
4. Calculate viscosity value according to measurement time and standard formula.
Notice
• Ensure that the cup body and nozzle are clean to avoid residues affecting the Measurement accuracy.
• Check whether the pore size matches the liquid viscosity range before use.
• Keep level during operation to ensure uniform liquid flow.
• Regular calibrating and maintenance to maintain measurement accuracy.
