Overview
The TR 1010/2 coating -4 cup is a viscosity testing instrument of the TRUIT brand, equipped with a copper cup and a bracket, suitable for viscosity testing in the laboratory, with a capacity of 100 +/- 1ml. The product is designed according to GB/T 1723 standard and is usually used for viscosity measurement of products with an outflow time of less than 150 seconds. The viscosity is represented by the measurement of the time (seconds) required for the sample to flow out of the specified aperture at a certain temperature and conditions.
Features
1. Equipped with a copper cup and a bracket for easy laboratory use.
2. With a capacity of 100 +/- 1ml, the sample volume can be precisely controlled.
3. Suitable for viscosity measurement with outflow time below 150 seconds.
4. Design in accordance with GB/T 1723 standard to ensure measurement accuracy.
5. Provide the conversion formula of outflow time and kinematic viscosity to facilitate data conversion.
Principle
The working principle of coating-4 cup is based on the time (seconds) required to flow out of a hole of a specified aperture at a certain amount of sample and a certain temperature to measure viscosity. The outflow time t (seconds) is measured and converted into a kinematic viscosity value (mm ²/s) using a specific formula: when t < 23 seconds, the formula is t = 0.154 μ + 11; when 23 seconds ≤ t ≤ 150 seconds, the formula is t = 0.223 μ + 6.0.
Applications
Laboratory viscosity testing
Steps
1. Prepare the sample and ensure that the temperature is constant.
2. Pour the sample into a coating-4 cup to a capacity of 100 +/- 1 ml.
3. The measurement of the time t (seconds) required for the sample to flow out of the specified aperture.
4. According to the outflow time t, use the corresponding formula to convert into the kinematic viscosity value (mm ²/s).
Notice
Make sure the sample outflow time is less than 150 seconds, otherwise it may not be applicable.
- Check whether the diameter of the flow hole and the angle of the inner cone meet the specifications before use.
- Keep the test environment temperature stable to ensure measurement accuracy.
The conversion formula is only applicable to the specified time range, and the correct formula needs to be selected based on the t-value.
