Overview
The TRUIT TR 3060/1 Anti-Sag Meter is an instrument for measuring the thickening of wet-film flow from top to bottom in a vertical state. It helps to select the appropriate wet film thickness by controlling the physical performance of the coating to obtain uniform film thickness. The instrument is made of high-quality wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant alloy steel to ensure durability and accuracy. It is suitable for painting control of vertical, corner, round hole and arc workpieces.
Features
1. Use high-quality wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant alloy steel materials to ensure durability and accuracy
2. Design meets GB/T 9264 and ASTM D 3730 standards
3. Suitable for vertical, corner, round hole, arc workpiece painting control
4. The number of grooves is 10, the film width is 6mm, the film spacing is 1.5mm, and the film thickness difference between adjacent films is 25μm.
5. Dimension 120 * 20 * 20mm, easy to operate and carry
Principle
The Anti-Sag Meter simulates the flow behavior of the wet-film in the vertical state to determine the thickening of the flow of the Coating from the upper end to the lower end. The instrument uses multiple grooves of different Film thicknesses to form a wet-film, and observes the flow and accumulation of the Coating on the vertical surface to evaluate the sag performance of the Coating and help the user select the appropriate wet film thickness to achieve uniform painting.
Applications
Vertical workpiece painting, corner workpiece painting, round hole workpiece painting, arc workpiece painting
Standards
GB/T 9264、ASTM D 3730
Steps
1. Prepare Anti-Sag Meter and Coatings to be tested
2. Coating the Spreader evenly on the groove of the Anti-Sag Meter
3. Place the Anti-Sag Meter vertically
4. Observe the flow and thickening of the Coating from the upper end of the groove to the lower end
5. Record the flow results of different Film thickness grooves
6. Choose the appropriate wet film thickness according to the results
Notice
• Ensure Anti-Sag Meter is clean and drying before use
• Spreader Coating should be uniform
• Avoid vibration or tilting when placed vertically
• Clean the instrument in time after operation to prevent corrosion
• Adjust the test conditions according to the type of Coating
