Overview
The Anti-Sag Meter is an instrument for measuring the thickening of the upper end of the Coating in the vertical state. The appropriate wet film thickness is selected to ensure uniform film thickness by controlling the physical performance of the Coating. This performance is conducive to the painting control of vertical, corner, round hole and arc workpieces. The Anti-Sag Meter is made of high-quality wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant alloy steel material to ensure its durability and accuracy. The film thickness range of the TR 3060/2 Anti-Sag Meter is 250-275-300-325-350-375-400-425-450-475 μm.
Features
1. Made of high-quality wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant alloy steel to ensure durability and accuracy
2. Design meets GB/T 9264 and ASTM D 3730 standards
3. With 10 grooves, film width 6mm, film spacing 1.5mm
4. Film thickness difference of adjacent strips is 25 μm, which is convenient for accurate measurement
5. Dimensions are compact, 120 * 20 * 20mm, easy to operate and carry
Principle
The Anti-Sag Meter evaluates the sag performance of the coating by measuring the thickening of the upper end Coating to the lower end of the wet-film in the vertical state. Users place the Coating Spreader on grooves of different Film thicknesses to observe the flow behavior of the Coating on the vertical surface to select the appropriate wet film thickness to ensure the uniformity of the painting.
Applications
Vertical workpiece painting, corner painting, round hole painting, arc workpiece painting
Standards
GB/T 9264、ASTM D 3730
Steps
1. Prepare Anti-Sag Meter and Coatings to be tested
2. Coating the Spreader evenly on the groove of the Anti-Sag Meter
3. Place the Anti-Sag Meter vertically to observe the flow of the Coating
4. Record the Flow Behavior of Coatings on Different Film Thickness Grooves
5. Choose the appropriate wet film thickness according to the observation results
Notice
• Ensure Anti-Sag Meter is clean and drying before use
• Spreader Coating should be uniform to avoid bubbles or impurities
• Stable when placed vertically to prevent tilt from affecting measurement results
• Clean the instrument in time after measurement to prevent Coating residue
Store in a drying environment to avoid corrosion and damage
