Overview
The JFL QXD 0-100 Grindometer (double-channel) is a test instrument for the determination of particle fineness such as pigments and impurities in Paints, paint paste, and is designed to control product mass. The instrument is made of cemented carbide steel, which has good Abrasion Resistance and Hardness and is not easy to abrasion. Its range is 0-100 μm and is made in strict accordance with the relevant Measurement Instrument verification procedures.
Features
1. Made of hard alloy steel, wear-resistant and durable.
2. Double-channel design to improve detection efficiency.
3. In strict accordance with the "Grindometer" verification procedures, the accuracy is reliable.
4. The range is clear, Graduation is 10 μm.
Principle
The Grindometer scrapes the sample through the groove of the scraper with a matching drawdown blade at constant speed and pressure. The size of the particles in the sample leaves a mark on the scale of the groove, and the fineness of the sample can be determined by reading the scale value of the particle concentration area.
Applications
It is used to measure the particle fineness of pigments and impurities in Paints and paint slurry, detect the fineness of dispersed products in the production and storage application process, and control the product mass
Standards
GB/T 1724-93、GB/T 13217.3-91
Steps
1. Drop the sample to be tested into the groove of the Grindometer.
2. Use the matching drawdown blade to scrape the sample across the entire groove length at a uniform speed and appropriate pressure.
3. Under the specified lighting conditions, immediately observe the scale position of the particle concentration area in the groove.
4. Read the scale value corresponding to this position, which is the fineness of the sample.
Notice
• Make sure the scraper and drawdown blade are clean, drying and abrasion-free before use.
• When scraping the sample, the drawdown blade should be kept perpendicular to the plane of the scraper and scraped at a constant speed at one time.
• The reading should be completed within 3 seconds after scraping the sample and under the specified lighting conditions.
• After use, the instrument should be cleaned with a suitable solvent in time and properly stored to avoid bumping.
• This instrument is a precision Measurement instrument and requires regular verification to ensure accuracy.
