Overview
Wet-film Thickness Wheel is a tool for measurement of Wet Coating Film thickness. It has a wheel-like structure with a dial or scale line for reading wet film thickness. It is made of stainless steel. The film thickness value of wet Coating can be determined by comparing the scale on the dial with the amount of Coating adsorption. The roller thickness gauge is simple and easy to use and is suitable for many wet Coating application scenarios, such as Coating Construction, Surface Coating and Coating Film thickness monitoring. Film thickness of wet coatings can be quickly and accurately evaluated using a roller thickness gauge to ensure mass and conformity of the Coating construction. The range of the TR 5508/200 is 0 to 200 μm, Graduation 10 μm.
Features
1. Made of stainless steel, durable and reliable
2. Wheel structure, with dial or scale line, easy to read wet film thickness
3. Easy to use, fast and accurate assessment of wet Coating Film thickness
4. Suitable for a variety of wet Coating application scenarios
5. Range 0~ 200μm, Graduation 10μm, to meet the needs of fine measurement
Principle
The Wet Film Wheel consists of a wheel, the inner circle and the two outer wheels form a centrifugal circle. At zero position, the three wheels are at the same point, and the horizontal scale distance of the inner circle is lower than the wheel surface at any position. When the layer is applied, immediately place the measurement wheel at the position where the gap between the inner and outer rims is the largest on the surface, then keep the inner and outer wheels in the same line and roll along the zero position in contact with the surface. Check the position where the inner rim starts to contact the Coating. The wet film thickness can be represented by a scale reading on the outer rim.
Applications
Coating Construction, Surface Coating, Coating Film thickness monitoring
Standards
GB/T 13452、ASTM D1212、ASTM D4414、ISO 2808
Steps
1. Place the measurement wheel with the largest gap between the inner and outer rims on the coated surface
2. Keep the inner and outer wheels in the same line and roll along the zero position in contact with the surface
3. Check the inner rim at the beginning of contact with the Coating
4. Read the wet film thickness value from the scale on the outer wheel
