Overview
The Halogen moisture meter is an instrument specifically designed for the measurement of water content in materials or samples. It uses halogen heating technology to determine the moisture content by heating the sample and measuring its weight loss, making it particularly suitable for high-demand, trace moisture determination such as laboratories.
Features
1. Using HBM Sensor, weighing accuracy of 0.001g (1mg).
2. Equipped with a 7-inch color touch screen, the operation is intuitive.
3. With operation permission setting function, management is more standardized.
4. 200 sets of data can be stored to support the generation of test reports.
5. Equipped with a one-click warm-up function to improve efficiency.
6. Adopt silent fan design for quiet operation.
7. Wide heating temperature range (RT + 40~ 200 ℃), support standard/automatic/soft multiple heating modes.
8. Provide RS232 and USB (optional) communication interfaces for easy data connection.
Principle
The working principle of the Halogen moisture meter is based on the heating weight loss method. The instrument uses a halogen lamp as a heating source to transfer thermal energy to the sample. As the sample is heated, the water in it gradually evaporates. The instrument continuously monitors the weight change of the sample through the HBM Sensor of High Accuracy, and calculates the moisture content of the sample based on the weight loss. The higher the moisture content, the greater the weight loss of the sample.
Applications
Western medicine, traditional Chinese medicine decoction pieces, plastics, stone powder, paper, sugar
Steps
1. Turn it on and warm up with one click.
2. Place the sample on the pan (minimum sample size 0.004g).
3. Set the heating temperature, mode and measurement end mode (automatic/manual/timing) through the 7-inch Touchscreen.
4. Start the heating test, and the instrument automatically monitors the weight change.
5. After the test, review and save the moisture content results (moisture readability 0.01%).
6. Data can be exported or test reports can be printed through the interface.
Notice
• Instrument Operating Environment Temperature should be between 5-35 ℃.
• External calibrating is required for calibrating.
The sample should be evenly placed on a 96 mm pan.
• The door opening method of the instrument is manual, please pay attention when operating.
• Please select the appropriate test parameters according to the characteristics of the sample (e.g. about 5% for western medicine and 0.25% for plastics).
