Overview
Webster Hardness Tester (Model W-B92) is an instrument for quickly testing the Hardness of cold-rolled thin steel strips in production sites. It has the characteristics of easy use, one card can be used, direct reading of Hardness value, high efficiency and good Reliability. It conforms to the Chinese non-ferrous standard YS/T420-2000 and the American standard ASTM B647-84 (2000).
Features
1. Wechsler Hardness Easy Detection, Measurement;
2. Through anodic oxidation treatment, wear-resistant and rust-free, comfortable feel;
3. Detect a variety of metals, Hardness detection has a wide range of applications;
4. Mechanical design, compression spring device, not easy to damage;
5. High toughness surface window glass, Impact is not easy to damage;
6. Clear scale and accurate measurement;
7. Simple to use, handheld design, easy to carry.
8. Conversion is convenient, and Hardness values such as Brinell, Rockwell, Vickers, and Wechsler can be obtained through the conversion table.
Principle
Webster Hardness Tester uses a mechanical design to apply pressure to the material through a compression spring device, and the measurement of Crane Hardness. The Hardness value is read directly from the scale to achieve rapid non-Destructiveness detection.
Applications
Stainless steel strip Cold rolled thin steel strip
Standards
YS/T420-2000、ASTM B647-84(2000)、ASTM B647-10、YS/T420-2000、JJG944-1999、JJG944-2013
Steps
1. Hold the instrument and align it with the material under test.
2. One card is enough, apply pressure;
3. Read the Hardness value directly.
Notice
• Ensure that the film thickness of the workpiece is within 0.4-6 mm;
• The inner diameter of the workpiece must be greater than 10mm;
• Check the integrity of the instrument before use;
• Avoid use in extreme environments;
Periodically calibrated to ensure accuracy.
