Overview
Defelsko CHDTISOTAPE is a replacement tape specifically designed for cross-cut adhesion testing, compliant with ISO 2409. This tape is a dedicated consumable for the PosiTest CH series cross-cut Adhesion Tester (ISO kit), which is used to evaluate the adhesion of the coating to the substrate after cross-cutting on the coating. The product Encasement specification is 25mm wide and 65.8 meters long per roll.
Features
1. Designed for cross-cut adhesion testing compliant with ISO 2409.
2. For use with the Defelsko PosiTest CH ISO kit as an original replacement consumable.
3. Provide standard width (25mm) and length (65.8 meters/roll) to meet testing requirements.
Principle
This tape is a key consumable in cross-cut adhesion testing. During testing, a regular lattice pattern is first cut on the surface of the coating using a cross-cut Adhesion Tester, and then the tape is tightly adhered to the cross-cut area. Subsequently, the tape is quickly peeled off in a standardized manner. The ability of the coating to resist separation from the substrate, that is, the adhesion performance, is judged by observing and evaluating the proportion of the coating area that is adhered by the tape.
Applications
Coating adhesion testing, quality control, R & D laboratory
Steps
1. Use a cross-cut Adhesion Tester to cut a standard lattice pattern on the coating under test.
2. Cut the appropriate length from the CHDTISOTAPE tape roll and stick it firmly and bubble-free in the cross-cut area.
3. Tear off the tape in a fast and smooth motion (usually close to a 180-degree angle) within the specified time.
4. According to the rating chart in the ISO 2409 standard, compare and observe and evaluate the peeling of the grid area coating to determine the adhesion grade.
Notice
This tape is designed for testing in accordance with ISO 2409 standards. If the test meets ASTM D3359 standards, please select the corresponding CHASTMTAPE tape.
Make sure the cross-cut area is clean, drying, and free of dust or grease before sticking the tape.
When pasting the tape, ensure that it is in complete contact with the coating surface without bubbles or folds to obtain accurate test results.
* The action of removing the tape needs to be carried out strictly according to the standard method, and the conformity of speed and angle is crucial to the result.
* Tape should be stored in a cool drying place to avoid high temperature, high humidity or direct sunlight to ensure stable Tacking performance.
