Overview
Taber type Wear resistance tester is a factory direct sales product, model NBC-Taber5612. The equipment uses a standard cutter to cut the specimen, uses the specified type of abrasive wheels and loads a certain weight for abrasion test, and observes the condition of the specimen or calculates the weight difference after reaching the specified number of revolutions. The abrasion index is calculated as: abrasion loss weight/test rotation number × 1000.

Principle
Film thickness 3mm by standard cutter cut the outer diameter of 100mm, inner diameter of 8mm, using the specified type of abrasive wheels abrasion under a specific load. Automatic stop after reaching the preset number of revolutions, by observing the test piece after grinding condition or calculating the weight difference before and after the test to evaluate the material wear performance.

Steps
1. Use a standard cutter to cut the specimen
2. Install the specified type abrasive wheels and set the load
3. Set the number of test revolutions
4. Start the equipment for abrasion test
5. Automatic shutdown after reaching the number of revolutions
6. Take out the specimen to observe the condition or calculate the weight difference
