Overview
The Martindale Wear resistance tester is a device used to test the friction resistance performance of materials and is commonly used to evaluate the Abrasion Resistance of various materials such as Spinning & Weaving products, leather, rubber, coatings, plastics, etc. The device simulates the abrasion of materials in daily use and is essential for quality control and performance evaluation. It includes major components such as friction heads, swirl/spin platforms, load units, control systems, and data logging and analysis systems.
Features
1. Drawing on the advantages of similar instruments at home and abroad, it is designed with a beautiful appearance and easy operation.
2. The microcomputer system uses two counting methods, which are intuitive and easy to set.
3. Eight stations are tested simultaneously to improve test efficiency.
4. Equipped with two Lissajous motion trajectories (24mm x 24mm and 60.5mm x 60.5mm) and a variety of supporting accessories, it can adapt to a variety of test method standards.
Principle
The Martindale Wear resistance tester applies friction to the material under test through the friction head, the swirl/spin platform supports the material and simulates friction with the Miscellaneous surface, the load unit controls the applied load or pressure, the control system adjusts parameters such as friction, test time and speed, the data logging and analysis system records friction, Coefficient of Friction and friction resistance performance indicators, and subsequent data analytics.
Standards
GB/T4802.2、ASTM D4970、ISO12945-2、GB/T13775、ASTM D4966、ISO12947
Notice
• Power supply voltage is Ac220V 50H2 to avoid voltage instability affecting equipment operation.
• Check whether the station and counting system are normal before use to prevent test errors.
• Regularly replace consumables such as wool felt and test cotton to maintain test accuracy.
• Pay attention to the load and motion track settings during operation to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
