Overview
DuPont Impact Tester is an experimental device used to test the impact strength and toughness of materials. It is usually used for quality control and performance evaluation of engineering materials, plastics, rubber and other materials. It measures the degree of deformation, fracture or Miscellaneous performance parameters of the sample under Impact by impacting the test sample with a standard geometry Impact hammer at a certain speed and energy to evaluate the material's Impact performance.
Features
1. Adjustable range of maximum height of plastic test piece: 50~ 500mm; 2. Drop ball control method: manual setting; 3. Impact head radius optional: 1/4, 3/16, 1/8, 1/16 inch; 4. Impact platform radius optional: flat, 1/4, 3/16, 1/8, 1/16 inch; 5. Weight weight: 300g, 500g, 1000g each; 6. Compact size: 50cm × 50cm × 150cm.
Principle
DuPont Impact Tester works by adjusting the weight of the steel ball at a certain height so that it can fall freely, hitting the sample, and evaluating the material's anti-Impact performance by measuring the degree of damage to the sample under Impact.
Applications
Plastic, Pottery and porcelain, acrylic, fiberglass and other materials and test Coatings
Standards
JIS-K5600 (Coating), ASTM-D2794, JIS-K5400
Steps
1. Adjust the steel ball to the specified height; 2. Manually set the ball drop control; 3. Make the steel ball fall freely to hit the sample; 4. Observe and measure the degree of damage to the sample.
Notice
• Ensure that the height of the specimen is within the range of 50~ 500mm; • Check whether the radius of the Impact head and Impact platform meets the test requirements before use; • Correctly select the weight weight to match the test standard; • Pay attention to safety during operation to avoid Impact injuries; • Regularly calibrate the equipment to ensure test accuracy.
