Overview
DuPont Impact Tester is an experimental device used to test the impact strength and toughness of materials, commonly used for quality control and performance evaluation of engineering materials, plastics, rubber and other materials.
Features
1. Wide range of adjustable height of plastic test piece (50~ 1000mm)
2. The ball drop control adopts manual setting mode
3. Available in a variety of Impact head radius options (1/4, 3/16, 1/8, 1/16 inch)
4. Equipped with a variety of weight weights (300g, 500g, 1000g)
5. Impact platform offers plane and a variety of radius options
Principle
The testing machine evaluates the anti-Impact performance of the material by impacting the test sample with a standard geometry Impact hammer at a certain speed and energy, and then measuring the degree of deformation, fracture or Miscellaneous performance parameters of the sample under Impact. The specific principle is to adjust the weight of the steel ball at a certain height so that it can fall freely and hit the sample, depending on the degree of damage.
Applications
Plastic, Pottery and porcelain, acrylic, fiberglass and other materials and test Coatings
Standards
JIS-K5600 (Coating), ASTM-D2794, JIS-K5400
Steps
1. Manually set the drop height
2. Select the Appropriate Impact Head Radius
3. Choose the right weight weight
4. Place the test sample
5. Release Ball for Impact Test
6. Observe and record the degree of damage to the specimen
