Overview
The HR150A Rockwell hardness tester is a strong, rigid, accurate, reliable and durable hardness testing instrument with high testing efficiency. It is suitable for rockwell hardness measurement after heat treatment such as quenching, quenching and tempering, as well as hardness measurement of ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals and Non-metallic materials.

Principle
The hardness gauge by applying a predetermined initial test force and the main test force, the indenter is pressed into the surface of the sample, the main test force is removed after holding a predetermined time, the measurement of the residual depth increment of Cedar under the initial test force, in order to calculate the rockwell hardness value.

Steps
1. Select the appropriate Rockwell scale (HRA, HRB, or HRC) and the corresponding test force according to the material to be tested.
2. Place the sample smoothly on the workbench to ensure that the test surface is clean and flat.
3. Turn the lifting handwheel to make the sample slowly contact the indenter until the small pointer of the dial points to the red dot and the large pointer is vertically upward.
4. Push the loading handle forward, apply the main test force, and maintain the specified time after the rotation of the indicator pointer has stopped significantly.
5. Pull back the loading handle to remove the main test force.
6. Read the hardness value (HRA, HRB or HRC) from the dial.
7. Lower the workbench, remove the sample, and the test is completed.
Notice
Before use, check whether the equipment is level and whether the components are normal.
• Choose the correct scale and test force according to the material to be tested to avoid using it beyond the range.
• The surface of the sample should be flat, clean and free of oil stains, and the Film thickness should meet the test requirements.
• Operate smoothly when applying and removing test forces to avoid Impact.
• Regularly use standard hardness blocks to calibrate the instrument to ensure test accuracy.
• Keep the instrument clean, especially the spindle, indenter, and table parts.
When not in use for a long time, the test force should be removed and dust-proof measures should be taken.
