Overview
The XIONGFA XF-13173 apparent density (pb) meter is a device for the measurement of powdered detergent apparent density (pb), suitable for free-flowing powders and, when using a suitable funnel, for powders with a tendency to caking. This device is only suitable if the powder contains clumps that are easy to loose and do not cause particles to crush. The apparent density (pb) is evaluated by the powder mass occupying a certain volume or the volume occupied by a certain mass of powder, and the result is the customary value related to the method used.
Features
1. The overall funnel material is made of stainless steel to ensure that the powder contact surface is smooth and does not generate static electricity.
2. Provide two funnel specifications: free-flowing powder funnel lower diameter 40mm, upper diameter 108mm, height 130mm; caking trend powder funnel lower diameter 60mm, upper diameter 112mm, height 100mm.
3. Receiver volume is 500ML +/- 0.5ML, sampling is 510-550ML.
4. The bracket design can position the funnel and the receiver accordingly.
5. The funnel outlet comes with a cut-off plate/baffle, which is convenient for placing powder.
Principle
Under specified conditions, the mass of the powder is determined after the sample is leaked from a funnel with a specified shape and filled with a receiving container of known volume. The apparent density (pb) of the powder is calculated by the formula density = (M2-M1)/V, where M2 is the receiving container mass after filling the powder, M1 is the empty receiving container mass, and V is the receiving container volume.
Standards
GB/T 13173-2009、ISIO1064:1974
Steps
1. Place the funnel on top of the bracket and place the weighed container on the lower floor.
2. Cover the lower mouth of the funnel with a cut-off plate, pour the sample into the funnel until its upper edge, and then quickly remove the cut-off plate, allowing the powder in the funnel to flow into the collector and overflow completely.
3. Use a stainless steel ruler along the upper edge of the receiver, carefully scrape the powder flat, and then weigh m2, Balance accuracy accurate to 0.01g.
4. Calculate the apparent density (pb) of the powder according to the calculation formula density = (M2-M1)/V.
Notice
• Funnel is selected according to the needs of the test.
• If there is a mass in the powder, this equipment is suitable only if the mass is easy to loosen and does not cause the powder particles to be crushed.
The measurement result is only an customary value related to the method used.
