Overview
The HANNA HI96801 refractometer is a rugged, waterproof and portable digital refractometer for the measurement of Sucrose Brix, suitable for laboratory and field measurements. The instrument converts the measurement sample Refractive index into sugar content parameters, and the operation is simple and fast. Just add two drops of sample after calibrating with distilled or deionized water to obtain accurate measurement results in seconds and automatically perform temperature compensation. Using internationally recognized units and ICUMSA certification recommended methods, the screen can display Measured value and temperature, battery power and other information at the same time.
Features
1. Dual LCD display, the temperature reading is displayed below the measurement value;
2. ATC automatic temperature compensation;
3. BEPS low battery reminder to ensure accurate and effective reading;
4. IP65 waterproof, suitable for laboratory and field measurement;
5. Fast and accurate measurement, 1.5 seconds to quickly display the measurement results;
6. A little calibrated, with distillation water or deionized water calibrated;
7. Trace samples, only 2 drops of samples are required;
8. Automatic shutdown, no automatic shutdown for three minutes;
9. Stainless steel sample chamber is easy to clean and anti-corrosion;
10. Easy to operate, just drop the sample button reading, simple and fast.
Principle
The instrument converts the measured sample Refractive index into the sugar content parameter, and the sample refractive index is measured within a few seconds by adding the sample dropwise to the sample chamber, and the temperature compensation is automatically performed to ensure the accurate and reliable measurement results.
Applications
Fruit, energy drink, pudding, soy milk, juice, jam, honey, soup, jelly, tofu, seasoning
Standards
ICUMSA (International Committee for the Unified Analysis of Sugar Products) Certification Recommendation Method
Steps
1. Use distillation or deionized water to calibrate the refractometer;
2. Add two drops of the sample to the sample chamber.
3. Press the button to read the Measured value in seconds.
Notice
• The calibrating requires distillation or deionized water;
The minimum sample size is 100 µL to ensure complete coverage of the prism.
• The instrument automatically shuts down after 3 minutes of use;
• Pay attention to the battery level, the instrument will remind when the battery is low;
• The sample chamber is made of stainless steel and needs to be kept clean and anti-corrosion.
