Overview
The HI97739 Fluoride HR Portable Photometer is a HANNA-branded instrument for the measurement of fluoride ion (F) content in water. Fluoride is widely found in nature, but high concentrations can have adverse effects on human health. The instrument is often used for drinking water monitoring and industrial production process control to ensure that fluoride Ion concentrations in water are within safe limits and meet relevant standards.
The photometer is IP67 waterproof and designed with an innovative Optical inspection system for good accuracy and repeatability, with CAL CheckTM functionality for performance verification and calibrating, built-in Reaction Timer, GLP display, battery status indicator and automatic shutdown settings.
Features
1. LED high quality Illuminant system with good performance and high luminous efficiency.
2. High Quality Optical inspection Filter, Provides High Measurement Stability and Less Wavelength Error to Ensure Accuracy and Accuracy.
3. Unique reference detector for fast and stable readings between blank measurement and sample measurement.
4. Stable Illuminant Settings to reduce errors and reading shifts caused by Glass Colorimetric Cup defects.
5. CAL CheckTM feature that allows performance verification and calibrating using NIST traceability standards.
Principle
The HI97739 Fluoride HR Portable Photometer operates on photometric principles, illuminating the sample at 575nm with an LED Illuminant system. Absorbance changes are detected using a high-quality Optical inspection filter and a silicon photopower source to measure fluoride Ion concentration in water. Unique reference detectors and stable Illuminant settings ensure fast and stable readings, reducing errors, and built-in reaction Timers ensure measurement conformity.
Applications
Drinking water monitoring, industrial production process control
Standards
IP67 waterproof standard, EPA recommended method 130.1
Steps
