Overview
HI97762 ULR residual chlorine [free chlorine] Portable Photometer is an instrument used for the measurement of residual chlorine (free chlorine) content in water. Residual chlorine is usually added to water as a disinfectant to kill bacteria and Miscellaneous microorganisms to ensure the safety of water. The instrument has the characteristics of high Sensitivity and fast measurement. It can accurately detect residual chlorine content in water. It is often used for real-time monitoring and quality control. It is suitable for water treatment, swimming pool monitoring, drinking water mass detection and other fields.
Features
1. Comply with IP67 waterproof standard;
2. Optical inspection system with good accuracy, repeatability and fast Measurement time;
3. The CAL CheckTM feature allows performance verification and calibrating using NIST traceability standards;
4. Built-in Measuring methods and Timers to ensure consistent measurement results;
5. Support Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), display the last user calibrated date and time, battery status indicator and automatic shutdown settings.
Principle
The photometer uses DPD Colorimetry for measurement and detects changes in light absorption by irradiating the sample with LED@525nm Illuminant and Silicon Illuminant (Bandwidth 8nm, wavelength accuracy +/- 1.0nm) to accurately determine the residual chlorine content in water.
Applications
Water treatment, swimming pool monitoring, drinking water mass testing
Standards
IP67 waterproof standard, NIST traceability standard, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
Steps
1. Prepare the sample and place it in the reaction cup.
2. Use built-in Reaction Timer to ensure measurement conformity;
3. Verify or calibrate performance through CAL CheckTM function;
4. Start the measurement, the instrument automatically displays the results and stores the data;
5. View GLP information such as calibrated date and battery status.
Notice
• Make sure the battery is fully charged and use 1.5V AA batteries (3 pcs);
• Use at 0 to 50 ° C Ambient Temperature and maximum 100% relative humidity;
• The instrument automatically shuts down after 15 minutes of no operation to save power;
• Periodically calibrated with NIST traceability standards;
When storing data, pay attention to the automatic storage limit of 50 measurement data.
