Overview
HI97769 Surfactant [SDBS] Portable Photometer is an instrument for the measurement of surfactant content in water. Surfactants are a class of compounds that reduce liquid surface tension and promote liquid dispersion or emulsification. They are widely used in detergents, detergents, emulsifying agents and other products. Surfactant content measurement in water is of great significance for evaluating water quality, monitoring pollution and detecting detergent residues. It is widely used in water treatment, environment monitoring, detergent production and detergent residue detection to ensure water quality safety, product mass and environment protection.

Principle
The HI97769 Surfactant [SDBS] Portable Photometer uses an innovative Optical inspection system design, using LED@610nm Illuminant and Silicon Illuminant, Bandwidth 8nm, wavelength accuracy +/- 1.0nm, to quantitatively analyze the surfactant content in water by measuring the absorption of specific wavelengths of light by the sample, ensuring measurement accuracy and repeatability.
Applications
Water treatment, environment monitoring, detergent production, detergent residue detection
Standards
EPA method 425.1, "Water and wastewater inspection standard method" (20th edition, 5540C) modification, IP67 waterproof standard
Steps
1. Preparation of Samples and Reagents;
2. Carry out blank (zero) measurement;
3. Use CAL CheckTM function for performance verification and calibrating;
4. Place the sample in the reaction cup.
