Overview
HI97770 Silica/Silicon [HR] Portable Photometer is used for the measurement of silica content in water. Silica is usually present in the form of silicate in water and is a compound that is ubiquitous in nature. In water treatment, environment monitoring and industrial processes, monitoring silica content in water is very important for controlling water quality and production processes. It is widely used in water treatment, drinking water monitoring, environment protection and industrial process control to ensure that water quality meets relevant standards and meets production needs. The photometer meets IP67 waterproof standards and is designed with an innovative Optical inspection system with good accuracy, repeatability and fast Measurement time.
Features
1. Comply with IP67 waterproof standard to ensure reliable use of the instrument in harsh environments
2. Optical inspection system design for High Accuracy and repeatability measurements
3. CAL CheckTM feature allows performance verification and calibrating using NIST traceability standards
4. Measuring methods to adapt to different application requirements
5. Built-in Reaction Timer to ensure sample measurement results conformity
6. Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) function showing the last calibrated date and time
7. Equipped with battery status indicator and automatic shutdown settings to extend Battery life
8. Automatically store the last 50 measurements for easy data management
Principle
The HI97770 photometer operates on the principle of Optical inspection absorption, using LED@466nm Illuminant and Silicon Illuminant, Bandwidth 8nm, wavelength accuracy +/- 1.0nm. When the ray of light passes through a sample containing silica, the silica absorbs light of a specific wavelength, and the instrument calculates the silica concentration by measuring the degree of light absorption, enabling fast and accurate water quality analysis.
Applications
Water treatment, drinking water monitoring, environment protection, industrial process control
Standards
US EPA drinking water, surface water and saline water, domestic and industrial waste 370.1 method, standard method 4500-SiO2, IP67 waterproof standard
Steps
1. Prepare the sample and load it into the reaction cup
2. Power on the instrument
3. Select the appropriate Measuring method
4. Put the reaction cup into the measurement tank
5. Start the measurement program, the built-in Timer will automatically control the reaction time
6. Read and record measurement results
