HI97771 residual chlorine [free chlorine] -UHR total chlorine Portable Photometer meets IP67 waterproof standards and is designed with an innovative Optical inspection system for good accuracy and repeatability. The instrument has CAL CheckTM function, allowing performance verification and calibrating using NIST traceability standards, built-in reaction Timer to ensure measurement conformity, GLP function to display calibrated date and time, and equipped with battery status indicator and automatic shutdown settings.

Principle
The instrument is based on the EPA 330.5 DPD method standard, using Light Emitting Diode @525nm Illuminant for measurement, Bandwidth 8nm, wavelength accuracy +/- 1.0nm. Absorbance of the sample at a specific wavelength is detected by an Optical inspection system, and residual chlorine and total chlorine concentration values are calculated.

Steps
1. Prepare the sample and load it into the reaction cup
2. Turn on the instrument and select Measurement mode
3. Use CAL CheckTM to calibrate verification
4. Start measurement, the instrument automatically timed the reaction
5. Read and record measurement results
6. Instrument automatically stores measurement data
